President of the Memur-Sen Confederation Ali Yalçın received Zambia Trade Union COngress in his office at the headquarters of the Memur-Sen. The delegation was accompanied by ewas signed between the Memur-Sen and ZCTU and between the Education Union of Zambia and Eğitim-Bir-Sen.
"We, as worker movements, must unite our strength in order to create a world in which the worker is not afraid," said Metin Memiş, Vice President of the Memur-Sen Confederation, in the speech which was given to 500 unionists during his participation in the second national congress of the Union of the Tunisian Workers'. We must work together, raise our voice together, for a working environment that doesn't take advantage of us, a working environment in which we take what we deserve without prevention and determination, and in the international arena we must be an entity that defends human rights."
A delegation of the Memur-Sen confederation led by President Ali Yalçın, including the deputy president of the trade union Eğitim Bir-Sen, Hasan Yalçınyayla, visited Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and in Croatia for work and exchange from 5 to 11 May. These meetings marked the desire to multiply initiatives aimed at strengthening solidarity and inter-union cooperation. On the margins of trade union visits, the Memur-Sen delegation was welcomed by Turkish diplomatic representations, academics and academic institutions and various institutions.
In front of an audience of international trade union representatives gathered in the framework of the International Workshop on "Trade Unionism and Social Policies" President of the Memur-Sen Confederation Memur-Sen, Ali Yalçın opened his keynote address: 'No religion, no ideology, no boundary, it's nature is universal'.
The Memur-Sen and BSPSH (Albania) confederations met for a wprkshop entitled "Sharing of Trade Union Experiences in Turkey and Albania" on 2 May 2017 in Ankara.
Memur-Sen, the largest trade union organization in Turkey, celebrated the May Day celebrations in the city of Kütahya, the city where was signed the first collective bargaining in history.
The promotion meeting of the "International Trade Union and Social Policy Certificate Program", which was organized by the Memur-Sen, SESRIC and TODAİE, was realized with the participation of the President of the Memur-Sen Ali Yalçın. Yalçın who gave a speech at the meeting, said "This program will be very instrumental. We will mutually know each other more. We will always find the answer of how will we benefit from each other and how will we make the labour movements more qualified in the world the questions."
Deputy President of Memur-Sen Hacı Bayram Tonbul and President of Bayındır-Memur-Sen Soner Can Tufanoglu visited Benin, Togo and Ivory Coasts as part of a return visit to the countries which were participated in the "Trade Unionism in the Islamic World" Symposium.
President of Memur-Sen Confederation Ali Yalçın gave a speech at the General Assembly of the Organization of African Trade Unions of Unity (OATUU) in Bamako. Yalçın stated that the proposals as "Labour Organization under the İİT" should be established and this organization should be recognized as a subsidiary organization which are mentioned in the Istanbul Declaration were taken out by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). Yalçın said, "We must be insistent. We must conclude the unfairness of income distribution together."
The first term of the International Leadership School realized by the Memur-Sen Youth finished. Students who have graduated from the first term received certificate of graduation with a certificate ceremony with a wide participation.
